Curling-Olympic champion Muirhead returns from retirement with eye on 2030 Games

Manchester, England, August 6 - Olympic curling champion Eve Muirhead has returned from retirement, expressing her intention to compete in the 2030 Olympics. The Scot, who served as Team GB's Chef de Mission at the Milano-Cortina Games, announced her comeback via social media, expressing her desire to work with fellow Olympic silver medallist Bobby Lammie in mixed doubles.

Muirhead and Lammie, both 36 and 29 respectively, previously won the world mixed doubles title in 2022. Muirhead, citing her role as Chef de Mission as a catalyst for her decision, said she feels rejuvenated and physically stronger than ever in her playing career. She believes the 2030 Games in the French Alps will provide her with the final chapter to write in her Olympic career.
