Benue’ll deliver one million votes for Tinubu in 2027 – Deputy Gov

Benue State Deputy Governor Samuel Ode announced on Thursday that the region is on track to provide a million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election. He emphasized that Governor Alia's administration would rally the state's Executive Council and citizens to fulfill this pledge. During a visit to ongoing infrastructure projects in Makurdi, Ode highlighted the increased federation account allocations under the Tinubu administration as a key financial driver for Benue's growth.

The Deputy Governor showcased the recently constructed High-Level Interchange, a central traffic hub connecting major roads in the state capital, noting its role in reducing accidents and traffic congestion. While the total cost of the project remains undisclosed, Ode acknowledged Phase One's budget of N6.9 billion, which has already shown positive results in safety improvements.

He also discussed the completion of Phase Two of the Akwanga-Makurdi Road project, the Wurukum Overhead Bridge, and the Buruku Bridge, all of which are projected to be finished by December 2027. Additionally, Ode highlighted the revitalization of Benue's beverage manufacturing sector through the Food Basket Breweries, initiated by Governor Alia three years ago.
