Apple Raises Trade-In Values for iPhone, Mac, and More

Apple today increased trade-in values for a wide range of its devices, including iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches. The updates were first reported by 9to5Mac and mark a significant rise in estimated value for many models, with some devices seeing an increase of nearly 30% compared to the previous May update. The iPhone 16 Pro Max now tops the list at an estimated value of up to $720, an increase from $695, with values rising all the way down to some of the company's older supported models.

Notable devices that saw substantial increases include the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which now has an estimated value of $720 from $695, and the Mac mini, which experienced a roughly 28% jump, rising from $375 to $480. Most iPad models also saw value increases, with the iPad Pro going from $690 to $720 and the iPad Air rising from $460 to $490. As for Macs, the Mac Studio saw the largest increase, with its estimated value rising from $1,045 to $1,305.

The Apple Watch lineup also saw increases, with Series 10 models jumping from $150 to $165, while the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Apple Watch Ultra remained unchanged. Android trade-in values were more mixed, with several newer phones from Samsung, Google, and OnePlus added to the list for the first time, such as the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL at $315 and the OnePlus 13 at $250.

However, some existing estimates fell, like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G, which decreased from $130 to $125. Again, Apple emphasized that these are estimates and final offers can vary based on a device's condition and configuration, with not all devices eligible for trade-in credit.
