Tak perlu bubar Parlimen jika DAP keluar Kabinet, kata pemimpin PKR

PKR leader Saifuddin Shafi Muhammad expressed that PKR rejects the idea of dissolving Parliament should DAP withdraw from the Cabinet, deeming such a suggestion baseless as the coalition government still holds sufficient mandate and support to govern until the end of the term. Shafi Muhammad, PKR's Deputy Chief Secretary, stated that Deputy Chief Secretary of PAS Khairul Faizi Ahmad Kamil's proposal indicates inability to understand the basics of government formation elected by the people.

"The administration of any government is built upon the mandate of the people and should be concluded within a full term, especially when proven successful growth of the nation's economy is achieved. "If the root of DAP decides for its leadership to leave the ruling position, the situation remains stable as their members of Parliament remain part of the government coalition," he said in a statement.

Yesterday, Faizi posted on Facebook that Malaysian people need a chance to determine the direction of the country with a new mandate, should DAP withdraw from the Cabinet. He said, this move is not only about reshaping administration, rather it signals the loss of unity in the coalition government. Saifuddin noted that even if DAP decides to leave the government, their MPs can still remain part of the supporting bloc.

He said, such a move is more of an internal party strategy to strengthen organization, rather than a sign of government's collapse of majority mandate. "With more than two-thirds of MPs backing, the Madani government will certainly not face any issues in completing the required number of cabinet ministers to help smooth administration.

"Nevertheless, DAP's presence in the Madani government administration does not bring any negative impact, apart from being used as an excuse by irresponsible parties to incite unfounded sentiment. "Instead, cabinet ministers and deputy ministers representing DAP have been diligently performing the trust given by overcoming prolonged political pressure," he said, confident that Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's administration and economic achievements of the government will overcome any negative perceptions stemming from the recent two PRN results.
