Sagnarigu MUSEC imposes curfew following deadly boundary clash

The Sagnarigu Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) has enforced a curfew and prohibited the possession of arms and offensive weapons in Damankunyili, Nyeshie, and nearby areas following a recent deadly boundary dispute. The conflict resulted in one fatality and left six individuals injured. This stern action came with the publication of a statement by MUSEC's Chairman and Municipal Chief Executive, Abdulai Imoro Gong, who expressed deep sorrow over the loss of life, offered condolences to the affected family, and hoped for a speedy recovery for the injured.

The curfew, in effect from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily, is intended to foster tranquility and prevent additional strife in the region. To reinforce the new security protocols, MUSEC has increased joint police patrols in the impacted communities. The council urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement, maintain calm, and resolve disputes through peaceful means, as they strive to restore lasting peace within the municipality.
