RCI Tabung Haji: 3 lagi direman kerana disyaki subahat seleweng RM450,000

Three men, aged between 50, are facing charges of bribery, reportedly until the end of August this year. The incident occurred in Petaling Jaya, where they were detained for five days due to their involvement in bribery, related to the investigation into the report by the Royal Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (RCI) on the Tabung Haji Fund.

The men in question are the alternate chairpersons of the project developer, safety and health officer, and project manager of a real estate company, which is a subsidiary of a charitable organization. The order for their detention, until August 9, was issued by Majistret Ezrene Zakariah following a request from the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Agency (SPRM) in the Putrajaya Magistrate Court today morning.

The sources said the three men, aged between 50, were detained by the SPRM officers at the SPRM office yesterday evening. "Initial investigation found that the three suspects committed the acts between 2017 and 2019," he said in a statement. Chief Public Prosecutor of SPRM, Abd Halim Aman, confirmed the arrest when contacted and clarified that the case is being investigated under Section 17(a) of the SPRM Act 2009.

SPRM has set up a special task force to investigate the findings of the Tabung Haji RCI report covering 252 pages of correspondence related to the management and operation of the fund from 2014 to 2020, which was classified and released last Wednesday.
