Pharmacy owner, delivery boy caught with 6,568 Tramadol tablets in Madhapur

Police have arrested a pharmacy owner and delivery boy in Madhapur following a raid that uncovered a large cache of Tramadol tablets. The seizure of 6,568 Tramadol Hydrochloride 50 mg tablets, weighing approximately 328.4 grams, was made at Prime Pharmacy in Ayyappa Society after a tip-off. The arrested individuals, Thorri Venkatesham, 32, and Barlakadi Srikanth, 32, were allegedly selling the tablets without proper prescriptions or records.

Police suspect the duo sourced the pills illegally from a fugitive supplier named Rathod Prakash in Narayankhed. The investigation suggests the accused sold the pills both over the counter and via home delivery to between 100 and 150 customers over several months. Cash payments were accepted, and police are now working to identify the buyers, trace the supply chain, and apprehend the missing supplier.
