Moldovan citizen injured in Russian strike on Kyiv Oblast; his truck burned completely

A Moldovan man sustained injuries following a Russian ballistic strike on Kyiv Oblast, according to Suspilne public broadcaster. The incident occurred overnight on August 5th and continued into the morning. The victim, who had arrived in a logistics center in the village of Chaiky the previous evening, and his son were in the truck when a powerful explosion occurred around 12:30 a.m. The pair had to flee the vehicle wearing only their underwear.

Despite their escape, the victim suffered burns, and the truck was completely destroyed, along with his personal belongings and financial assets.

On August 5th, Russia launched a barrage of attacks against Ukraine, deploying four Zircon/Onyx anti-ship missiles, 24 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles, and 115 drones. Ukrainian air defenses managed to intercept 98 of the drones. The attacks resulted in at least 17 fatalities and 44 injuries in Kyiv city and oblast, according to the most recent reports.

Vitalii Bihun, the head of Brovary district administration, confirmed that eight people waiting at a train station in the Brovary district were killed by three Russian ballistic missiles. Additionally, the Rozetka marketplace's distribution warehouse complex in Brovary was destroyed by the missiles.
