Ex-Liverpool star Salah arrives in Turkiye before move to Trabzonspor

Trabzonspor are inching closer to securing the signing of Mohamed Salah, who is currently a free agent after leaving Liverpool. The Egypt national has sparked intense interest across Europe and the Middle East, with Besiktas initially leading the race. However, Trabzonspor, based in the Black Sea region, has now edged ahead, with Foot Mercato reporting that they are on the verge of finalizing a deal with the 34-year-old forward.

According to reports, Trabzonspor have entered advanced negotiations with Salah's representatives and are close to agreeing on personal terms, putting them in a strong position to complete one of the most significant transfers in Turkish football this summer. This development has prompted Besiktas to suspend their negotiations, despite already reaching a 1+1-year contract agreement with Salah's camp.

The proposed deal was reportedly valued at €10 million per season, with an additional €2 million in performance-related bonuses. Trabzonspor's late entry into the transfer has drastically altered its trajectory, with the club now optimistic about convincing the experienced player to join their project.
