Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has quelled all worries regarding his ACL injury, as All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones confirmed to ESPN's Dan Graziano. Jones stated, "He looks like Pat Mahomes. It doesn't look like anything's changed. He's jumping around, being Pat. We've just got to get it going." This news comes after Mahomes underwent surgery for the injury in Week 15 and was cleared for training camp by the end of July, roughly seven months later.

Mahomes' return is crucial for the Kansas City Chiefs, as their last four games of the previous season were lost following his injury, resulting in their lowest win total since 2012. With Mahomes approaching 31 and star tight end Travis Kelce nearing the end of his career, the upcoming season is pivotal for the franchise. Mahomes has a strong supporting cast, including Pro Bowl tight ends Kelce, Rashee Rice, and rookie Cyrus Allen, along with veteran running backs Kenneth Walker III and Kenneth Walker III.
