Carson Daly On Why Keke Palmer Is Hosting ‘The Voice: Celebrity’ As His Future On NBC Show Is Questioned: “I Am Not The Right Host For It”

The Voice has begun filming for its inaugural season of celebrity contestants, set to air in 2027 on NBC. Instead of searching for latent talent, this special edition will feature a diverse roster of celebrities including actors, musicians, athletes, comedians, and reality TV personalities. The lineup has yet to be disclosed. Keke Palmer has been appointed as the host of this unique NBC series, while Joe Jonas joins the coaching panel for the very first time.

He will be working alongside Queen Latifah and Riley Green, who are returning for their second consecutive season following their success in the original franchise. Their role will be to mentor the celebrity contestants, just like the traditional series. "The Voice: Celebrity" is scheduled to premiere in 2027. This is not Joe Jonas' maiden voyage on the judging panel.

He has also served as a judge on "Becoming a Popstar" on MTV and "The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep" for the CW. The celebrity season will introduce new challenges for the celebrities and offer viewers an exclusive look into the preparation process for the signature Blind Auditions. The coaches will continue to choose their teams from the Blind Auditions, but they will also incorporate new challenges like Voice Boot Camp, showcasing how contestants prepared for the competition.

Celebrities will also get a chance to witness their contestants perform on stage in the VIP Room, adding an extra layer of drama and competition. Later in the competition, contestants will gather in the "Workroom" to discuss, rehearse, and strategize, allowing viewers to see the behind-the-scenes preparations. Carson Daly, the well-known "Voice" host, will serve as a producer for this season.

He is set to host the 30th season of the original series later this fall. Returning to the competition floor are Green, Queen Latifah, Kelly Clarkson, and Adam Levine.
