Arsenal fall 3-1 to Real Betis in final pre-season game

The London-based football club Arsenal concluded their pre-season tour in Spain and Ireland with a 3-1 loss to Real Betis on Wednesday. The Spanish side took an early two-goal lead, scoring through Riquelme and Nelson Deossa. Arsenal managed to equalize with a header from Piero Hincapie, but Betis quickly regained control with a long-range strike from Fornals before halftime.

The visitors' lead was solidified after the break, as Isco's save by Arsenal's goalkeeper Illan Meslier was the only notable moment in the second half. Arsenal made seven changes to their lineup during the break, with Gabriel Magalhães and Gabriel Martinelli making their first pre-season appearances. However, defender Louie Copley had to be substituted after just 10 minutes due to an injury.

Arsenal will return to England for two home friendlies against Borussia Dortmund and Como, followed by the FA Community Shield against Manchester City.
