Army chief General Dhiraj Seth visits Central Command HQ, Lucknow

Army chief General Dhiraj Seth embarked on a two-day visit to Central Command HQ in Lucknow to evaluate the security situation, operational readiness, and capability enhancement programs. At the headquarters, Seth received updates on the command's current state, infrastructure improvements, modernization efforts, and projects aimed at boosting combat preparedness.

Following the briefing, Seth ventured to Headquarters Uttar Bharat Area and met with commanders and soldiers. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) emphasized that combat readiness, technological advancement, and self-reliance are crucial for developing a future-ready Indian Army capable of effectively responding to any operation.

During his interactions with military personnel, Seth reiterated the importance of operational preparedness, adaptability, and self-reliance as the foundation of military effectiveness. He further highlighted that a technologically advanced and future-ready Indian Army will continue to protect national interests and support the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.

General Seth also presented the Yoddha Seva Samman to four distinguished veterans in appreciation of their outstanding achievements in social service, education, healthcare, environment, agriculture, sports, and veteran welfare. Major General Harsh Kakar (Retd) was recognized for his remarkable contributions to national security and strategic thinking. As a UN peacekeeping veteran and co-founder of STRIVE India, he continues to influence strategic discourse through his writings and lectures.

Colonel Arvind Singh Kushwaha (Retd) received the Yoddha Seva Samman for his exceptional work in healthcare and medical education. Kushwaha played a vital role in establishing AIIMS Nagpur, advancing Covid-19 management in Maharashtra, and fostering the growth of medical colleges in Arunachal Pradesh, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to society.
