Samsung's SmartThings app is reportedly undergoing a significant redesign, according to recent reports from SamMobile. The upcoming update promises a more modern aesthetic, drawing inspiration from Samsung's One UI design language. Key changes include a floating, pill-shaped navigation bar at the bottom of the screen, dynamic backgrounds, and a range of visual upgrades across the Android smart home app.

Among the most noticeable alterations is the floating navigation bar, which retains access to the app's core functionalities: Home, Devices, Life, Routines, and Menu. Samsung has invested considerable resources in refreshing its app portfolio with the latest One UI design in recent years; however, SmartThings has largely gone unaltered, appearing increasingly outdated. This appears set to change with the unveiling of a major redesign that brings a fresh, contemporary look to the app.
