Three persons killed in separate road accidents in Vellore

Three individuals tragically lost their lives in separate road accidents near Katpadi in Vellore on Tuesday. The police reported that the first victim, M. Sampath, a 75-year-old farmer, was struck by an unidentified vehicle while walking towards the panchayat office in his village. Sampath sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the Government Medical College Hospital in Vellore, where medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival. A case has been registered in connection with this incident.

In a separate tragedy, two individuals lost control of their two-wheeler and collided with a roadside tree near Katpadi. The victims, identified as V. Rakesh, a 21-year-old resident of Tiruvalam village, and B. Anbu, 30, were riding the vehicle for work when the accident occurred. Both occupants were severely injured from the impact and were admitted to the government hospital, where doctors could not revive them. A case has been filed, and an investigation is currently underway.
