Rüstung: Hensoldt zieht bei Bosch ein und will Beschäftigte übernehmen

Düsseldorf - The defense equipment supplier Hensoldt plans to establish a software and engineering center at a vacant Bosch facility in Leinfelden near Stuttgart. Hensoldt announced on Tuesday that it has signed a cooperation agreement with the automotive supplier to utilize a vacant building on its property for this purpose. The center, specializing in software-controlled defense, is expected to create around 300 jobs in the Stuttgart region.

Current Bosch employees are explicitly encouraged to apply for these new positions. Hensoldt is actively seeking software experts and electrical engineers. Bosch is currently undergoing extensive job cuts, with plans to eliminate around 22,000 positions in Germany's supply sector over the coming years. Hensoldt's head of the board, Oliver Dörre, stated in a press release that Bosch has built exceptional expertise in software engineering over the past years and they intend to utilize this expertise specifically within their collaboration to successfully establish their new development site in Leinfelden.

This expansion is another step in Hensoldt's cooperation with Bosch regarding employment. Last year, Hensoldt had already offered around 200 of Bosch and Continental's employees a new prospect in the Stuttgart area and other locations.
