HC dismisses petition of Cricket Association of UP seeking transfer all assets

Prayagraj, The Allahabad High Court dismissed a petition filed by the Cricket Association of Uttar Pradesh (CAUP) seeking the transfer of assets, accounts and resources from the dissolved Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA). The court found CAUP's claims baseless, stating that the use of a similar name is misleading and intended to create confusion.

The court affirmed that UPCA, not CAUP, is the officially recognized cricket body in Uttar Pradesh, authorized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India. The court also dismissed claims for an investigation by the CBI or other central agencies into UPCA's activities.
