Dax aktuell: Leitindex gibt nach Rekord Teil seiner Gewinne ab – bleibt aber oberhalb von 26.000 Punkten

Düsseldorf - The German stock market remains in a record positive mood on Tuesday, with investors building on the optimism from the start of the week. The Dax index rose by 0.8 percent to 26,202 points, setting a new all-time high. Throughout the trading day, the leading index even briefly reached 26,266 points. On Monday, the Dax crossed the 26,000-point mark for the first time in its history, finishing at 26,001 points, a 1.5 percent increase.

The index was driven by heavyweight companies, with Telekom, SAP, and Rheinmetall being the largest gainers. Approximately 65 million shares were traded on Monday, the same number as early July. Jochen Stanzl, chief market analyst at Consorbank, notes that the recent Dax highs are driven by expectations of better international business rather than hopes for an economic recovery in Germany.
