Crocodile rescued from flood-hit area in Ferozewala

Lahore - Wildlife rangers have rescued a crocodile from the flood-affected Massan Kallar area near Kot Abdul Malik in Ferozewala tehsil. The crocodile was safely moved to the Gatwala breeding centre in Faisalabad. Reports from social media about the crocodile's presence prompted the Central Zone Additional Chief Wildlife Ranger Mudassir Hassan to direct the Lahore Deputy Chief Wildlife Ranger Sakhi MuhammadJoiya to monitor the area continuously.

Wildlife rangers carried out the monitoring, eventually locating and rescuing the crocodile professionally. The rescued crocodile is now being examined and cared for at the Gatwala Wildlife Breeding Centre. Once safe, the wildlife department urged residents to call their helpline, 1107, in case of any similar situations in the future, emphasizing the importance of not attempting to handle wild animals themselves.
