Civilian hunted and attacked by Russian drone in Kherson

A Russian airstrike obliterated the primary warehouse of Ukraine's prominent ice cream producer, Lasunka, on August 3, 2023, according to the company's statement. The explosion triggered a catastrophic fire that consumed the entire facility and its entire inventory, as reported by Lasunka. The company conveyed in its announcement that the attack on August 3 dealt a significant blow to its operations, with the fire destroying the ice cream products destined for distribution across Ukraine.

Lasunka warned that customers and retailers would face a shortage of its products in the forthcoming days, vowing to do their utmost to address the issue. Public reactions to the statement highlighted the fortunate fact that no one suffered injuries or fatalities from the strike, which targeted the facility situated near the Poltava Highway in Dnipro.

In response to the attack, Lasunka pledged to give full support to its personnel affected by the incident. Russian forces executed an Iskander ballistic missile and 136 UAVs, along with Parodiya decoy drones, against Ukraine on the night of August 4, targeting 14 locations. Established in Dnipro in 1997, Lasunka employs over 1,000 individuals across its production sites in Dnipro, Nikopol, and Ternopil, manufacturing over a hundred types of ice cream, frozen desserts, curd bars, and cakes.
