We’ll keep preaching in buses, PFN president vows to defy proposed ban

Bishop Wale Oke, the President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, has vowed to defy a proposed ban on evangelism in commercial buses, asserting that Christians will continue to spread the gospel despite the legislation. During a church service on Sunday, Oke declared that his followers would disregard any attempts to enforce the law, emphasizing that it conflicted with a divine mandate.

He criticized lawmakers for prioritizing religious preaching over addressing pressing issues such as insecurity, violent crimes, rapists, kidnappers, and bandits. Oke further warned that those promoting the ban would face divine consequences, vowing to rain curses upon them and their families unless they repented. The PFN president's remarks come amid mounting criticism from other Christian leaders who also oppose the proposed legislation.
