Welcome to Sail Tower, our newest Austin office

Google has opened its newest office in Austin, Sail Tower, in the heart of the city. The impressive building features a design inspired by Texas landscapes, with each floor dedicated to a different region of the state, from the desert wildflowers of Big Bend to the thunderstorms of Marfa. The office offers flexible areas for both employees and local collaboration, including outdoor terraces with native Texas plants and inspiring views.

In addition to providing a new home for Googlers, Sail Tower will also serve as a venue for Google.org nonprofit programming. Local nonprofits in the Austin metro area can book the space for board meetings, workshops, classes, and community events at no cost. This move highlights Google's commitment to supporting the community while advancing new AI projects.

Austin Mayor Kirk Watson expressed his excitement, stating that "spaces like this are absolutely vital for Austin's nonprofit community." He emphasized that Google's opening of Sail Tower is not just about offering a physical space, but rather strengthening the fabric of Austin and helping the community thrive. Sail Tower has been a part of the Austin community for nearly 20 years, moving from its first campus in North Austin to its current downtown location, growing to accommodate thousands of employees.
