Weichai unveils microgrid solutions for Southeast Asia's power market

As of the end of July, Pham Nhat Vuong stands as the wealthiest individual in Southeast Asia with a net worth of $33.6 billion, a 19% increase from the beginning of the year. This is largely attributed to the success of his company Vingroup, with its shares rising by around 29% year-to-date. The surge in sales of VinFast electric vehicles has also contributed to Vingroup's growth.

Enrique Razon Jr. is the second richest person in the region, boasting a net worth of $21.6 billion. As the chairman of International Container Terminal Services Inc., a Philippine ports tycoon, Razon's wealth has skyrocketed by over $10 billion in just 12 months, driven by ICTSI's 66% increase in share value. Sarath Ratanavadi, a Thai billionaire, is the third wealthiest individual, with his net worth growing to $17.7 billion, the largest wealth gain in Thailand.

Ratanavadi's fortune surged after investors appreciated his company Gulf Development's transition from a traditional power producer to an extensive infrastructure platform encompassing electricity, mobile technology, banking, and AI data centers. Dhanin Chearavanont, another Thai billionaire, is fourth on the list with a net worth of $17.6 billion.

He leads CP Group, a vast conglomerate with ventures in agriculture, food production, retail, telecommunications, real estate, finance, and e-commerce across more than 20 countries. Ratanavadi and Dhanin Chearavanont are tied for fifth place, with a combined net worth of $35 billion, owning the Singapore-based semiconductor company ASE Technology Holding.

The company's shares surged 93% year-to-date, doubling Chang's net worth from $9.1 billion at the year's end.
