VIDEO: Bishops told Tinubu the truth, says Kalu

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu stated that economic hardships and insecurity affecting Nigerians are not President Bola Tinubu's fault, despite the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria expressing concerns during a recent visit to the Presidential Villa in Abuja. Bishops highlighted challenges in the economy, security situation, and political climate.

Cardinal John Onaiyekan of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja later revealed that Tinubu disagreed with the bishops' assessment, claiming his administration was on the right path. Kalu described the bishops as the nation's conscience, emphasizing their advice is always offered in the national interest. He acknowledged the country's genuine difficulties but argued Tinubu should not bear responsibility for them.

Kalu commended the meeting between the bishops and the President, praising it as a vital opportunity for Tinubu to receive an honest assessment of the country's situation.
