Lee returns home from South America tour

President Lee Jae Myung has returned to Seoul after a 11-day overseas tour that encompassed meetings with prominent U.S. tech leaders and summits with the presidents of three South American countries. The journey commenced in San Francisco, where Lee engaged with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and heads of three other leading U.S. tech firms, emphasizing mutual cooperation on artificial intelligence.

Subsequent stops in Brazil, Chile, and Argentina saw Lee convening with the respective national leaders, aiming to bolster bilateral cooperation across several sectors including critical minerals and crude oil imports. His final leg of the trip in Frankfurt involved a brief interaction with the Korean community in Germany. Upon his return, Lee is set to resume his routine of receiving policy briefings from various government ministries including trade, environment, labor, foreign, defense, and unification.

Additionally, he is scheduled to convene a special session with his aides to deliberate on current matters concerning the housing market and the volatility in the local stock market, as indicated by the presidential office.
