Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, is seeking top engineering and skilled trades talent to build and operate powerful AI supercomputer clusters on Earth and potentially off planet. In a recent X post, Musk stated he is looking for "exceptional engineering and skilled trades talent to build and operate the most powerful AI supercomputer clusters on and off Earth."

Interested applicants are asked to email their resume and three bullet points showcasing evidence of exceptional ability to datacenters@spacex.com. SpaceX's mission is to make humanity "multi-planetary," with a goal of establishing a permanent human colony on Mars with at least one million inhabitants. The company has identified future markets such as energy production on Mars, space tourism, and asteroid mining, in addition to infrastructure development on Earth.

While some are skeptical about SpaceX's long-term plans, the company's prospects suggest that those hired now will likely contribute to building infrastructure not just on Earth, but also for potential permanent residences on other planets.
