Bournemouth close in on £11.1m Juanlu

Bournemouth are in the final stages of sealing a £11.1m deal to bring Sevilla right-back Juanlu to their south coast base. The 22-year-old will make an initial payment of £9.4m with an additional £1.7m in add-ons, and is set to sign a long-term contract. Known for his tall stature and attacking prowess, Juanlu boasts considerable experience despite his young age and has been a regular member of Spain's youth national teams.

This imminent signing will bring Bournemouth's summer transfer activity to three deals, following the acquisitions of Antonio Silva from Benfica for £25.7m and striker Alvaro Rodriguez from Elche, also for £25.7m, earlier this summer. Under the leadership of new manager Marco Rose, Bournemouth now focus on completing their squad, aiming to bolster their defensive line with a second-choice goalkeeper to compete against current holder Djordje Petrovic.

The Cherries are set to embark on a pre-season period of preparation before a historic season, as they make their debut appearance in the Europa League. Sevilla has expressed interest in striker Enes Unal, a player Bournemouth are considering for sale, however, the Turkish international also has attractive offers from Turkey and Saudi Arabia as he seeks to finalize a summer transfer.

The star trio of Eli Junior Kroupi, Rayan and Alex Scott are currently off-limits for transfer, according to insiders at the Vitality Stadium.
