21,522 candidates to appear for AP TET in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam district has finalized preparations for the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP TET-2026), set to take place in computer-based test (CBT) format from August 5 to 16. During a review meeting with officials on Monday, District In-charge Collector Gobbilla Vidyadhari emphasized the need for coordination among all departments to ensure a seamless examination process.

According to an official release, a total of 21,522 candidates will be appearing for the AP TET-2026 at eight examination centers across the district. The tests will be conducted in two sessions each day, with the first session running from 9:30 a.m. to noon and the second session from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Candidates are advised to arrive at their designated centers at least an hour before the scheduled examination time and adhere strictly to the instructions provided in their hall tickets.

To accommodate candidates with special needs, the district administration has arranged for 100 scribes. The police have been instructed to maintain adequate security around the examination centers, and Section 144 will be enforced in the vicinity of these venues. APSRTC has been directed to operate special buses to facilitate the transportation of candidates, while officials have been tasked with ensuring a continuous power supply and deploying medical teams equipped with first-aid facilities at every examination center.

In addition to these arrangements, officials have been given instructions to oversee uninterrupted power supply and ensure the presence of medical teams with essential first-aid facilities at each examination site. The AP TET-2026 is a crucial examination for aspiring teachers in Andhra Pradesh, and the district authorities have been diligently working to provide a smooth and secure testing environment for all candidates.
