Ukrainian drones kill two in Russia, strike Wildberries warehouse, governors say

Ukrainian drone strikes killed at least two people in regions along Russia's Volga River overnight, targeting a Wildberries warehouse and a residential building, regional officials reported on Sunday. Russia's Defence Ministry claimed to have shot down 635 Ukrainian drones during the night. The Wildberries warehouse in the Samara region, approximately 500 miles from Ukraine's most advanced military positions, was struck by Kyiv's drones, causing no casualties but igniting a fire, according to Samara Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev.

Separately, a drone attack in the neighboring Saratov region killed two individuals in a residential building and caused damage to civil infrastructure, said Governor Roman Busargin. Both Saratov city, which houses a major oil refinery, and Engels, which is home to a military airbase, have been repeatedly targeted by Ukrainian forces in recent years.

Bashkortostan region Governor Radiy Khabirov stated that air defense units successfully repelled a large drone attack on industrial facilities, with one drone being shot down over Ufa's industrial area and a fire being extinguished.
