Russia hits Rozetka martketplace warehouse twice in 24 hours

Russian forces launched two separate drone attacks on Rozetka's largest warehouse within a span of 24 hours, according to Ukrainian e-commerce company Rozetka. No casualties were reported from the most recent attack that occurred overnight into August 2. The company's statement emphasized that this is not merely a coincidence, but rather a deliberate and targeted strike.

The situation took a tragic turn on August 1, when Russia carried out another drone attack on the same warehouse. This incident resulted in the death of one employee, Volodymyr Melnychenko, and injuries to seven others. Analyst Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, who is an adviser to the president, provided insights into the nature of the first attack.

He stated that the target was a group of minivans parked at the warehouse and identified the Shahed drone used in the assault. According to Beskrestnov, the decision to launch such strikes is made at a lower command level compared to those targeting ballistic missiles.

In his Facebook post, Beskrestnov further elaborated that the warehouse itself did not hold significant value for the enemy. He pointed out that large warehouses typically do not store merchandise. He also mentioned that enemy agents closely monitor warehouses and are aware of this fact. Consequently, the Shahed drone, which is a jet-powered one, spotted the minivans parked next to the warehouse and targeted them.

The report clarified that there were no trucks or semi-trailers present in the area, as per Beskrestnov's observations.
