Russia: Dead and injured in Moscow explosion

Moscow experienced a tragic explosion at a restaurant, resulting in the deaths of three people and injuries to 21 others, according to official reports. The National Antiterror Committee concluded that a bomb was responsible for the incident. Russian authorities confirmed that this was indeed a bombing attack. At first, there were rumors of a gas explosion, but investigators now believe a woman attempted to smuggle the explosive device into the venue.

She was apprehended by a security guard, and both she and the guard perished in the blast, along with one restaurant customer. The Moscow Mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, described the blast as a "brutal terrorist act" and vowed to find and punish those responsible.
