Moscow: Dead and Injured in Explosion

An explosion occurred in a Moscow restaurant, resulting in three fatalities and 21 injured individuals, according to official reports from Russian authorities. The Ermittler, or investigators, determined that the incident was caused by a detonation, as stated by the state news agency Tass. The incident is believed to be a bomb attack.

Telegram news channels reported that the death toll had risen to five following the attack. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin described the explosive device as a "brutal terrorist act" and vowed that the perpetrators would be found and punished. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims and detailed how an unidentified woman attempted to bring the explosive device into the café-restaurant but was intercepted by a security guard, who also died in the explosion.

The cause of the explosion was initially suspected to be a gas leak, but investigators later concluded that a woman had tried to transport the explosive device into the establishment.
