Portable loses Okocha rematch at Lagos fight night

Celebrity boxer Portable endured his second loss in the boxing ring within three months on Friday, being disqualified by a referee during a chaotic rematch at the Chaos in the Ring fight night in Lagos. The bout, billed as a rematch of their earlier contentious encounter, saw Portable leading the fight before it turned into a wrestling-like scuffle.

Referee separated the fighters, leading to Portable exiting the ring before the round could be properly completed. Security and bodyguards were then called to intervene. Portable was eventually returned to the ring and subsequently disqualified. Prior to the fight, Portable had expressed his disappointment, stating, "I am not happy, but I want God to make me happy and my family."

This defeat marks Portable's second reversal of fortune in the ring, having previously lost to Carter Efe by unanimous decision on May 1 at the same venue. The event, organized by promoter Ezekiel Adamu, also produced several knockouts, with Basit Adebayo stopping Said Chino in the first round and Suleiman Jafaru knocking out Samuel Antwi in the sixth.

Other results included Michael Babalola's unanimous decision over Abidemi Rabiu, Shiloh Defreitas outpointing Eric Quarm, and Yusuf Adeniji's unanimous decision over Rilwan Lawal.
