People tired of BRS, Congress, turning to BJP, says Ramchander Rao to US supporters

Telangana BJP leader N. Ramchander Rao contended that constituents are growing weary of the BRS and Congress, gravitating instead towards the BJP as their preferred political alternative. During a speech to supporters in Baltimore, Rao stressed that the BJP has made significant strides in Telangana, securing eight Lok Sabha seats and triumphing in recent MLC elections.

Numerous surveys corroborated public support for the BJP, he asserted. Rao, currently visiting the United States for the 19th American Telugu Association conference, criticized the BRS and Congress as being "two sides of the same coin," alleging they cooperated to thwart the BJP candidate's victory in the MLC elections. He alleged that the BRS continues to back the Congress on various national issues.

Rao emphasized the NDA government's commitment to India's development under Prime Minister Modi, highlighting infrastructure projects aiming to create employment and foster entrepreneurship via programs like Startup India and Stand-Up India. He cited Skyroot Aerospace, a Hyderabad-based company that successfully launched a rocket into space, as a testament to the country's burgeoning startup ecosystem, now the world's second-largest.

Rao also pointed to the doubling of airports in India to 150, with Telangana set to benefit from new airports in Warangal and Adilabad. The government has established AIIMS, the Central Tribal University, approved the Zaheerabad Industrial Smart City, and bolstered rail manufacturing infrastructure in Kazipet. He also highlighted increased railway allocations, station redevelopment, national highway expansion, free foodgrain distribution, and ₹6,000 annual assistance to farmers under Central schemes.
