Irish boxer hospitalised following 10th-round knockout

Irish boxer Lee Reeves is currently hospitalized in a critical yet stable condition following his defeat by Gary Cully in their vacant BUI Celtic super-lightweight title bout at Dublin's 3Arena on Saturday night. The 31-year-old fighter from Limerick was stretchered out of the ring after the 10th-round knockout and taken to the hospital for medical care.

Queensberry Promotions announced on Sunday that Reeves remains in critical but stable condition, with the promotion expressing their continued support for the fighter and his family. Cully, who secured the victory with a late stoppage, expressed his hope for Reeves' recovery and acknowledged the underdog status of his opponent. The event was part of the undercard to Pierce O’Leary's clash with Mark Chamberlain, with Chamberlain ultimately winning the main event by 10th-round knockout.
