DAP N Sembilan, Selangor mahu Loke kekal selepas kalah PRN

The recent defeat of DAP Deputy President Loke Siew Fook in the Chennah constituency during the Penang Regional Election (PRN) has stunned many, prompting both DAP in Negeri Sembilan and Selangor to voice their support for Loke to continue leading the party. Despite his loss in Chennah, DAP Selangor maintains that Loke's continued leadership is crucial for maintaining stability and restoring confidence in Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Loke's Deputy in Negeri Sembilan, Cha Kee Chin, stated that Loke's proven leadership has been recognized as the best in the party's history since 2004 when he led the party to two seats. DAP Selangor's President, Ng Sze Han, emphasized that the party in the state will remain strong with Loke's leadership and will work together with the central leadership to assess the results and identify necessary improvements.

The initial analysis of PRN results shows that both PH and DAP candidates still have strong support from their respective local constituencies, despite facing negative rhetoric from opposition parties during their campaigns. DAP retained nine out of 11 seats in the PRN, while Chennah and Repah fell to the MCA. Loke's defeat in Chennah was a major surprise, as he had represented the area since 2013.
