Two killed as plane crashes into house near Bremen

Two men lost their lives after a small plane crashed into a residence near Ganderkesee, a town close to Bremen. The house's occupants had vacated the premises at the time of the accident. The plane, which had departed from Bremen, encountered a sudden loss of altitude and struck the roof of a detached house. Emergency services swiftly evacuated nearby residents to ensure their safety as they removed debris from the roof.

Initially, police reported that one of the men aboard the plane had succumbed to injuries while the other was missing. However, the second man's body was discovered during the recovery efforts. The deceased pilot has been identified as Turgut Pencereci, who served as the head of the State Water Authority in Brandenburg.

The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation by local authorities. So far, technical faults or medical issues have been ruled out as potential factors. The family that once resided in the house has now lost their home due to the crash. A GoFundMe campaign established in their name aimed to support the family during this challenging period, though it was not motivated by sympathy but to demonstrate solidarity and aid the family in their time of need. The campaign, which has now concluded, raised 11,820 euros from 271 contributors.
