India win seven gold medals to cap record-breaking boxing campaign in CWG

India clinched a record-breaking performance in the boxing competition at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, securing seven gold medals and three silver medals. In the men's 90+kg category, Narender won silver after losing a unanimous 0-5 decision to England's Damar Thomas. India's best-ever performance at the Commonwealth Games was marked by a string of gold and silver medal victories.

Ankush Panghal won India's seventh gold medal by defeating England's Dimeji Shittu 4-1 in a split decision in the men's 80kg final. Sachin Siwach, Jaismine Lamboria, Preeti Pawar, Sakshi Chaudhary, Arundhati Choudhary, and Priya Ghanghas also won individual gold medals. Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain and Jadumani Singh secured silver medals each.

In the men's 60kg final, Sachin Siwach overcame Namibia's Tryagain Morning Ndevelo in a dramatic contest, winning by a 3-2 split decision after trailing in the first two rounds. Lovlina Borgohain finished with a silver medal after losing to Australia's Emma-Sue Greentree 1-4 in a split decision in the women's 70kg final. Arundhati Choudhary won gold by unanimous decision in the women's 70kg final, while Preeti Pawar claimed gold with a 5-0 victory over Canada's Scarlett Delgado in the women's 54kg final.

Jaismine Lambhoria secured gold by defeating Northern Ireland's Michaela Walsh 5-0 in the women's 57kg final. Sakshi Chaudhary won the women's 51kg final with a 5-0 win over England's Ruby White. Priya Ghanghas overcame Canada's Marie-Bathoul Al-Ahmadieh 4-1 in a split decision in the women's 60kg final. Jadumani Singh lost the men's 55kg final to Australia's Jye Dixon 0-5.
