I can't use Chrome without Gemini's Sidebar anymore

Google has announced two major updates to Gemini Spark today. The first, Chrome auto browse integration on desktop, allows the personal agent to utilize logged-in accounts and saved passwords for browsing via desktop Chrome. This marks a significant upgrade, joining other tools like Connected Apps, Personal Intelligence, code execution, and Canvas.

To ensure safety, users must approve payments and other sensitive actions, while browsers are safeguarded against prompt injection. Google's example use cases include scheduling apartment viewings or researching flight options and beginning the booking process. This update begins with a US rollout, with further regions to follow.

In addition, Gemini Spark will expand to Google AI Pro subscribers in over 160 more countries from today. This follows a US-wide rollout earlier this month. Since its May launch, Google has rolled out a plethora of features to Gemini Spark. These include MCP integrations and Mac app availability for local desktop control.
