Nuggit unveils £5M Creator Support Fund to help UK YouTubers turn channels into scalable businesses

Nuggit, a growth engine for creators, has unveiled a £5 million Creator Support Fund aimed at assisting UK-based YouTube creators to scale their media businesses. This initiative builds upon Nuggit's existing Creator Operating System, which has already aided over 33 successful YouTubers. Among these creators are Arsenal fan channel AFTV, food travel creator Only Scrans, and lifestyle and family creator Anna Saccone.

Nuggit's platform has demonstrated impressive early results, with a median revenue growth of 29 percent within the first year across its creator base. Furthermore, six YouTubers have taken their creator roles full-time with Nuggit's support. The Creator Growth Fund targets high-potential YouTubers who have reached a professionalizing inflection point for their business, often facing limitations due to resources, time, and expertise.

To address this, the £5 million Creator Support Fund offers funding alongside strategic and operational support, including data-driven content strategy, capital deployment, and commercial support for valuable brand partnerships. As the global creator economy is projected to reach $450 billion by 2027, according to Goldman Sachs Research, and contribute £2.2 billion to the UK economy and support 45,000 jobs in 2024, as per Oxford Economics, the UK government has recognized the need for support in this sector.

An all-party parliamentary group has been established, and the British Business Bank has launched a fund to improve access to finance for creative businesses. Johnny Freeland, Founder and CEO of Nuggit, highlights the rapid maturation of the creator economy and the growing recognition of creators' intellectual property value and economic importance.

However, the financial and operational infrastructure has yet to keep pace. Freeland emphasizes that successful creators build their channels through self-reliance and resourcefulness but eventually face limitations, plateauing at a point constrained by resources, time, and expertise. Nuggit's hybrid model combines AI and data-driven analytics with human strategic mentorship, providing creators with both automated insights and hands-on guidance.

This unique approach sets Nuggit apart from generic, automated AI tools. In addition to the latest launch, Nuggit is actively raising further investment to expand its AI-powered financing and analytics infrastructure and build out its Creator Operating System into new markets, including the US and Europe.
