Inside one of Europe’s most advanced biotech innovation hubs

Marburg, Germany has become one of Europe's most strategic life science locations due to heavy investment in infrastructure, expertise, and ecosystems for rapid pandemic response. At the heart of this ecosystem is M600, a 40,000 m² biopharmaceutical R&D campus, recently opening its doors to new tenants. M600, a project of CSL, aims to create a thriving multi-tenant environment for biotech innovators, academia, start-ups, contract research organizations, and CDMOs.

The campus provides a high-value location with direct access to capabilities, such as development environments, technical platforms, laboratories, pilot plant facilities, and GMP manufacturing. It also offers centralized facility management, security, and environmental systems for operational excellence. The university's BSL-4 lab, the Marburg Centre for Epidemic Preparedness, is currently under construction, funded by a €46 million investment from the German federal government and the State of Hessen.

This project, a part of the European Vaccines Hub for Pandemic Readiness, underscores Marburg's scientific capabilities and commitment to pandemic preparedness. M600 represents a unique opening within Marburg's life science ecosystem, providing tenants immediate access to world-class infrastructure, an established network of peers, suppliers, and collaborators, and a skilled talent pool.
