Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha has argued that he was framed in a child sexual abuse case that led to his imprisonment, stating he is not a paedophile and that people conspired against him. In an interview with Agbaletu Uncensored, Ijesha revealed he only understood the term "paedophile" while incarcerated. The actor also disputed the version of events, asserting he had never visited the house where he was filmed.
Ijesha claimed he never used a key to deflower a seven-year-old girl as alleged, and instead threatened his accusers with a curse. He also noted that he had received a warning about the incident beforehand, though he only learned the person's name after it occurred.
