Terrorists, believed to be Fulani militias, executed the nephew of Berom Youth Moulders-Association President Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri in a deliberate assault on Jol Village within Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State. Mwantiri disclosed the tragedy via a Facebook post, stating that his nephew was slain just two months following the assassination of his younger brother in the same locale.
Prior to his own escape, Mwantiri narrowly avoided death during the same attack that claimed the lives of his sibling and Operation Rainbow's second-in-command. Security alerts were subsequently triggered during the funeral service for the deceased youth, when armed intruders attempted to perpetrate another attack upon mourners and community members gathered for the burial.
