Winston-Salem, N.C. (AP) — Two separate shootings during homecoming weekend at Winston-Salem State University have resulted in one fatality and three injuries, according to police reports released on Sunday. Assistant Police Chief Jason Swaim of the Winston-Salem Police Department stated that both incidents took place on Saturday on the university's campus, though it remains unclear if the shootings are linked at this early stage of the investigation.
