Sex is for marriage, Actress Juliana Olayode tells singles

Nollywood actress Juliana Olayode has counseled unmarried individuals against allowing concerns about sexual compatibility to dictate whether they engage in pre-marital sex. The actress, who supports sexual purity, shared her thoughts on social media after receiving numerous inquiries from people grappling with doubts, fears, and real-life experiences related to sex, relationships, and Christian beliefs.

Olayode admitted that some of the conversations she had were outside her usual circle or among close friends. One such discussion revolved around whether couples should engage in sexual acts before marriage to gauge compatibility. She clarified that physical attributes, such as penis size, do not determine sexual satisfaction. Instead, Olayode emphasized that couples could learn about each other's bodies and preferences after marriage.

While acknowledging that sexual intimacy is crucial in marriage, she argued that compatibility extends beyond physical aspects. Olayode stressed that couples should develop intimacy through patience and mutual understanding, and that seeking guidance from Christian sex counsellors or therapists is an option during marriage counselling.

She also challenged the notion that abstaining from sex before marriage guarantees a perfect marriage, stating that engaging in pre-marital sex does not guarantee sexual satisfaction either. Olayode's advocacy for sexual purity stems from her Christian faith rather than an expectation that abstinence leads to a trouble-free marriage.

She cautioned against choosing specific biblical instructions based on personal convenience and encouraged people to acknowledge different experiences without letting them dictate religious convictions.
