Real Madrid legend Marcelo mocks Valencia defender after heated Mestalla encounter

Real Madrid secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Valencia at Mestalla, extending their impressive run of eight consecutive wins across all competitions. The encounter was marred by controversy, involving Valencia defender Pablo Maffeo, who has a history of heated exchanges with Los Blancos.

Marcelo, a Real Madrid legend, couldn't resist taking a dig at Maffeo on social media, referring to him as 'Masfeo' and commenting on the Valencia defender's vendetta against Madrid. Maffeo received a yellow card for a foul on Kylian Mbappe, leading to a free-kick that was eventually scored by Fede Valverde.

The former Real Madrid star Maffeo was visibly frustrated with the refereeing decision and criticized the referee during his half-time interview. His documented history of confrontations with Real Madrid players, including Vinicius Jr., suggests that this altercation may be part of an ongoing feud. Despite the incident, Real Madrid's players celebrated their well-deserved victory, setting them up for strong form heading into the November international break.
