The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) received six Nigerian returnees from the United States at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos State on November 4, 2026. The reception, conducted in collaboration with the US Consulate, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Nigeria Immigration Service, and ExecuJet, involved immigration documentation, profiling, and the provision of post-arrival support services.
The returnees, consisting of five males and one female, were transported to the airport aboard a Beechcraft 1900 aircraft with registration number N62FF. The event highlighted Nigeria's efforts to ensure the safe, orderly, and dignified return of its citizens, as part of broader US immigration enforcement measures that have targeted Nigerians for deportation, particularly those with criminal records.
