Chilean-Mexican singer Mon Laferte was violently struck in the face with a phone during her Las Vegas concert at Palms Casino & Resort on Thursday, Nov. 5. The fan who hurled the phone can be seen in footage, likely recording the act themselves. Despite the injury, Mon Laferte completed the performance after being tended to by her staff.
The US portion of her tour concludes tonight in Los Angeles. Mon Laferte expressed her disapproval of the fan's actions via her social media in Spanish, saying, "I'm okay, the girl didn't mean any harm, but please don't throw anything onto the stage ever again." The headline of the concert wraps up the US tour with a farewell message to her fans.
The surge in phone-throwing incidents at concerts is escalating, with notable cases including Bebe Rexha and Riley Green in 2023. This disturbing trend must be halted.
