MB: No dissolution of Negeri Sembilan assembly, Budget sitting to go ahead

Seremban, 8th November — Despite the desire to dissolve it, the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly will not be allowed to disband, according to Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim. The assembly's scheduled sitting will be maintained, and all preparations for the tabling of the Budget are complete, he said. "We have finalized the Budget, and we are merely awaiting the official date for the assembly sitting," Datuk Ismail told reporters following a Deepavali open house event hosted by special advisor on Indian community affairs Datuk VS Mogan.

Responding to inquiries about the assembly's preparations for the upcoming meeting, he firmly stated that the assembly would not be dissolved. "As the head of the state government, I will not permit the assembly to be dissolved," he declared. Initially, the state government had scheduled the next sitting on November 26, followed by the presentation of the 2027 State Budget on November 27.
