Auburn, Alabama - On October 24, 2026, LSU Tigers faced off against Alabama Crimson Tide in a high-profile game at Tiger Stadium. Despite LSU recording more first downs and total yards, they fell short with a 31-13 loss. Head coach Lane Kiffin attributed the defeat to the team's inability to score in the red zone and fourth-down struggles.
"It was a very unusual statistical game...we didn't make any [field goals] and we got in the red zone more than they did," Kiffin remarked. Kiffin also praised Alabama's performance, noting their effective blitzes, red zone efficiency, and strategic plays that resulted in touchdowns.
